Topic 11: Aphasia and Stroke

Aphasia is a language disorder that affects speaking, understanding, reading and writing. It’s most often caused by strokes on the left side of the brain that controls speech and language.

Aphasia can make people feel isolated. This lesson module explores the different types of aphasia, diagnosis and coping techniques that support recovery and improve quality of life.
