Beyond Stillness Storytellers are stroke survivors who are rewriting their stories. They are changing “what happened to me” into “who I am becoming now.” Each person spends 7–12 weeks working with a trained Story Steward to create and publish their unique story filled with wisdom and hope. Many then volunteer in their communities. Over 95% stay involved with Beyond Stillness. Their podcast is heard in all 50 states and 67 countries and territories—lifting up diverse voices, including people with aphasia and from rural communities. Their powerful storytelling and community engagement helps survivors reframe recovery, feel supported and remind them they are never alone.
