Beyond Stillness Community

The Beyond Stillness community is made up of stroke survivors who are rewriting their stories. They are changing “what happened to me” into “who I am becoming now.” Each person spends 7–12 weeks working with a trained Story Steward to create a meaningful story filled with hope and wisdom. Many then volunteer in their communities. Over 95% stay involved through events and workshops. Their stories are shared on a podcast heard in all 50 states and 64 countries. These powerful stories help survivors, including people with aphasia, feel supported and remind them they are never alone.
