The Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital Stroke Support Group has been a vital community resource for 14 years, offering a haven for stroke survivors, families and caregivers. The group provides practical, emotional and social support via monthly meetings, educational sessions and therapeutic activities.
Partnering with the local American Heart Association office, the group hosts “Strokes for Stroke” painting sessions and holiday events. In 2015, the group founded the Cajun Crushers of LA adaptive sports team, opening new life experiences for stroke survivors. The group members’ dedication to recovery and support makes them true heroes.
