Our meetings are informative and supportive. We start with introductions, if we have new participants. We also go around the room and allow people time to discuss updates in their status, care, or anything they want to share. Each meeting has an educational component linked to stroke, and most have a guest speaker as well. Examples include: Neuro Rehab, Stroke Facts Bingo, Hospital Dietician comes to speak to the group, Hospital Pharmacist comes to discuss medication questions, Speech, Physical, and Occupational therapies present new therapies, Neurologist comes to discuss new treatment options, stroke jeopardy, Hands only CPR, etc.
