Notes

My name is Katie. I am a recent Stroke survivor. I had my stroke on November 1, 2024. I had an Ischemic Stroke that turned into a Hemorrhagic Stroke. I am starting a stroke survivor support group through zoom and hoping to find the right connections for in person since there are no stroke supports in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. This is open to all survivors, families, friends, and professionals. It is not easy to not only finding the new me after stroke, but also finding that "new" normal being a single mom, working full time, no local support group, and the challenge of very few people understanding what you are going through.
