Better U in Spokane
The American Heart Association together with local sponsor Providence Spokane Heart Institute is offering women the opportunity to join a free, seven-week online program designed to support health improvement through the management of blood pressure. Registration for Go Red BetterU™ begins on January 1, 2022.
What is Go Red BetterU™?
Background
The statistics are scary … according to the American Heart Association more than half of deaths from high blood pressure were in women. But the good news is, there are some simple steps that we can all take to improve blood pressure numbers and reduce our risk. Go Red BetterU™ is a program designed to take a deeper look into blood pressure and share information and tools to support positive change.
Program Details
Length of program: 7-week program; plus a mandatory 1-hour introduction session
Program day and time: Tuesday nights from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Program format: Each weekly session will be held online via a Zoom meeting.
- Participation requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older to apply
- Attend at least 90% of the sessions, including the mandatory session on January 18, 2022
- Complete required registration forms plus pre-and-post survey
