2021 Sacramento American Heart Month

The COVID-19 pandemic couldn’t stop American Heart Month! To protect health and safety many of our activities went digital this year, but the message and meaning remained the same – losing even one woman to cardiovascular disease is too many.

Throughout the day on Friday, February 5th, the Sacramento Division shared informative, inspiring, and fun videos on women’s cardiovascular health in a Facebook event page. Attendees were encouraged to wear red and share a healthy selfie on social media using the hashtag #GoRedSac. The day ended with Sutter Health Park lighting up in red and displaying the Go Red for Women logo on the video board. Thank you to our Go Red for Women national sponsor CVS Health and local sponsor Sutter Health Heart & Vascular Institute for their support.
