Agenda
The Aphasia Recovery Groups, under the direction of the University of South Carolina (UofSC) Aphasia Laboratory, are designed for individuals who have language communication difficulties (aphasia) as a result of stroke. The groups provide speech-language therapy to help members improve their communication abilities. The group setting allows a unique opportunity to strengthen communication by interacting with other individuals who have similar communication problems. The groups also provide the opportunity for individuals to receive support and share experiences with others who have suffered a stroke.
Notes
Participants must complete a speech-language evaluation through the UofSC Aphasia Lab to determine appropriate placement in our groups. There is no cost for any services.
