We start with introductions, and everyone shares what successes and struggles they are having at this time. Survivors and caregivers give each advice and encouragement. We sometimes have a guest speaker on a topic requested by the group, or we discuss/plan upcoming events. We have refreshments and everyone chats. The group has started going to dinner afterwards for fun. We are always looking for new members to our group, so please join us!!!

We a relatively new, but active group. So far for 2017 we are planning, 2 lobby days in our state capital, several 5th grade education sessions, Strike out Stroke Event, and Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp. We have 4 main goals: 1) To provide a much needed stroke support system for all stroke survivors and their families in our area, "Turning a we problem into an us problem" 2) To push legislation to provide better rehab coverage for stroke survivors in our state 3) Educate the public on stroke signs/symptoms and prevention 4) To have help each member become as productive as possible.
