  • 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Medical Office Building (MOB) on David Campus

Agenda

Group meetings alternate between education programs once a quarter and discussion/socialization/support meetings the remaining months. Education programs include speakers or panel presentations on topics related to stroke, including community resources for therapy and caregiving, wheelchair fitness, speech/language and cognitive issues after stroke, how to avoid a second stroke, and how to navigate the Social Security disability application process.

Notes

Group members have developed a community resource list for stroke survivors and their families and friends, pooling the knowledge and experience of all group members. This is a valuable resource for anyone dealing with stroke recovery in the Austin area. Please call or attend a meeting if you'd like a copy. Primary contact prefers E-mail as best method of communication
