Educating Others About Stroke and AFib

Man sitting on couch in front on ABC 4 screenWhen Anthony King began his daily workout routine on November 1, 2018, he felt lightheaded and dizzy. Realizing it was serious, Anthony called 9-1-1. 

At the hospital, he learned he had suffered an ischemic stroke. Anthony also learned he had atrial fibrillation (AFib), the most common type of irregular heart rhythm. Someone living with AFib is five times more likely to suffer a stroke than someone with a regular heartbeat.

Today, Anthony shares his story so others will listen to their body and call 9-1-1 at the first sign of stroke.
