Educate Your Patients
Stroke education passed from healthcare providers to their patients has the highest impact on those patients. National Stroke Association strives to keep the latest, easy to access, and understandable educational resources for providers to use with their at risk and stroke survivor patients.
Educating the at-risk population on stroke is a community effort. The recognition of risk factors, signs and symptoms, rapid response and timely treatment comes from raising awareness that stroke is preventable and treatable. Equally important is providing hope and raising awareness that there is life after stroke and that survivors deserve respect and dignity.
