I am … a Survivor.

I had a Hemorrhagic Stroke on June 29, 2013, I just turned 50 yrs old in January that same year. Me & my 77 yr old mother was just getting ready to leave church, which was a 45 minute drive from my home. I felt alittle light headed & tired, so I eat dinner at the church before we got on the road. I collapsed before I got out of the building. My family called the EMT & they transported me to the hospital for me to be airlifted to another hospital.  I was in the hospital for a month, I couldn’t walk, bearly speak, read, write, couldn’t remember my address, my phone number, etc. I was total paralyzed on my right side. After I was able to come home, I went through a deep depression & even thought about suicide. I cried out & prayed to the Lord for help & the Lord heard my cry. My only child, my daughter Albree became my Caregiver and with her by my side every day, I was able to continue my Therapy & I worked extremely hard to get my life back to as much as normal as I could. It’s been a long hard journey, but I’m still here. I’m a Survivor, a Overcomer and I have the Power to Endure. I’m still partially paralyzed on my right side, but I can walk, talk, read, write (with my left hand), my memory has improve amazingly, I can drive & what I love to do that I thought I would never be able to do again is SING!  My life has definitely changed, but I’ve learned to embraced my New Normal! With God All Things Are POSSIBLE!
