Return to Work Readiness Self-Assessment
Not everyone returns to work after their stroke.
You can give your time and talent by volunteering. Here are a few ideas:
- Explore volunteer opportunities in your community
- Become a stroke support group facilitator (or start a new group if there isn’t one in your community)
- Help a local organization with tasks such as mailings, events or office assistance
- Check with a local hospital if they have a visiting program, where you can volunteer to visit patients who are newly recovering from stroke
- Join an online community and volunteer to become a moderator
- Share your personal story via a blog submission
