For more than three decades — first as a flight nurse, now as a neuroscience program manager — Julie Goins-Whitmore ensures that everyone has the opportunity to live, recover and thrive. Julie fights for equitable stroke care, listening without judgment and refusing to leave anyone behind.
She helped launch the region’s first Mobile Stroke Unit, then doubled down on hospital pathways when the unit ended. Outside the hospital, Julie volunteers with the Stroke Life Center, supports Stroke Life Camp and helps lead “Thriving Like a Star,” a fundraiser where survivors shine. Julie’s energy, empathy and grit inspire confidence and action.
