    and lower respiratory diseases.

  • On average, someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds. 

  • Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability in the United States leaving two thirds of stroke survivors struggling with moderate to severe disability.

  • The cost for stroke-related medical care and disability is estimated to be $68.9 billion annually.

While most patients don’t get evidenced-based care, the Acute Stroke Resource Center has been developed to support the informational and educational needs of healthcare professionals. With the plan of becoming a leading “go to” resource for acute stroke, this site includes access to a comprehensive list of resources, including:
