Every hour, 15 people have a stroke caused by atrial fibrillation (Afib). Afib is a type of irregular heartbeat that causes the two upper chambers of the heart to beat rapidly and unpredictably. Afib is a major risk factor for stroke and it increases your risk of having a stroke by 500 percent.

Whether your Stroke Champion is a survivor, caregiver, family member, friend or healthcare provider, this year you can let them know how much they mean to you, while raising vital funds for stroke. If you give at least $25, your Champion’s name will be listed on a special webpage in January 2013.

Give in honor of your Champion now!
