Program Overview

National Stroke Association intends to narrow the gap between knowledge and practice with respect to in-hospital stroke. This webinar presents the scope of the in-hospital stroke problem including the barriers to rapid and reliable evaluation and treatment. Panelists identify the pathophysiology of in-hospital strokes and the locations in the hospital where these strokes are most likely to occur. In addition, this webinar provides participants with solutions and resources such as quality-improvement methodology and specialized tools.

Goals and Learning Objectives

As a result of this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Define in-hospital stroke as a target for optimizing quality of stroke care
  • Discuss potential strategies for optimizing in-hospital stroke care
  • Identify tools that may be used in improving in-hospital stroke care processes

This program is designed for anyone with an interest in improving patient care and outcomes with regard to in-hospital strokes.
