Program Overview

Join the coordinators of the Lehigh Valley stroke care team and the director of certification of The Joint Commission as they highlight the changes in Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) standards. Whether this is your first time administering the certification or you are leading a renewal learn what is new and get tips for best practices.

Goals and Learning Objectives

The goal of the Navigating the Comprehensive Stroke Center Survey activity is to educate healthcare professionals who treat stroke patients in The Joint Commission stroke standard measures necessary for certification. Participants will learn how to:

  • Recall current changes to CSC standards
  • Identify roles and responsibilities of the team
  • Apply strategies for improved care and survey success

Target Audience

The target audience is stroke center coordinators, emergency department physicians and nurses, hospitalists, nurses, hospital administrators, and other healthcare professionals who provide care to stroke patients.
