Stroke Rehabilitation: A Function-based Approach

Purpose

This members-only online continuing education course was designed to educate and inform healthcare professionals on background medical information, standardized and non-standardized evaluation procedures and assessments, treatment techniques and evidence-based interventions for those who have suffered from stroke.

The Course

This accredited continuing education opportunity utilizes text from the peer-reviewed, published text by Glen Gillen, EdD, OTR/L, BCN, FAOTA, “Stroke Rehabilitation: A Function-based Approach,” 3rd edition (2011).

Register for a rehab moduleThe course contains six modules covering the following subjects:
Module 1: Approaches to Stroke Rehab
Module 2: Trunk, Vestibular Rehab and Upper Extremity
Module 3: Edema, Splinting, Casting, and Functional Mobility and Gait
Module 4: Vision and Cognitive Perceptual Deficits
Module 5: ADL, Parenting and Dysphagia
Module 6: Sexual Function & Mobility, Home Evaluation and Life After Stroke

Approval Information
