Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the U.S. However, less than one third of people in the U.S. can recognize more than one stroke warning sign. These stories reinforce why recognizing the warning signs of a stroke, plus prompt care and treatment make a difference in stroke recovery.
