Members of National Stroke Association’s triathlon team will participate in a 1.5-km swim, a 40-km bike and a 10-km run throughout New York City. There are still a limited number of spots on the 2014 team.

Event Description: Calvin College Student Nurses and Catherine's Health Center come together to host the 17th Annual Palmer Elementary Health Fair in the Creston/Belknap neighborhood. Volunteers will set up booths demonstrating tips for healthy living. There will be free blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol screenings. Other fun activities include free zumba lessons, free helmets and bike tune-ups for kids, and a food truck with dry goods for families. Living Well with a Chronic Condition

Living Well with Chronic Conditions is a six-week workshop that provides tools for living a healthy life with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, arthritis, asthma and heart disease. Through weekly sessions, the workshop provides support for continuing normal daily activities and dealing with the emotions that chronic conditions may bring about.
