Online Education
Line General

National Stroke Association has embraced the need for recovery resources that are easily accessible, free and convenient for you.

Our new online education resources include Web presentations that are easy to watch from the comfort of your personal computer. They cover a variety of recovery issues and problems you might be facing, from depression to sexuality to movement disorders. During a Web presentation you will be hearing a presenter talk through your computer speakers and seeing a coinciding presentation on your computer screen. Learn easily and at your own pace while gaining expert information, tips and resources from our recovery experts.

To participate, all it takes is access to a computer with audio (speakers) and a reliable connection to the Internet. Read more about computer system requirements below.

New! Experience our two new survivor and caregiver recovery resources, iHOPE and Living After Stroke!

  • iHOPE – This series of web presentations and "Ask the Experts" Q&A sessions will cover topics such as depression after stroke, how to deal with different types of pain and mobility problems and the importance of self-care for caregivers. All presentations will be available by summer 2010. Read more and access the Web presentations.
  •

  • Living After Stroke – The transition to home and the community can appear daunting and challenging. To ease into life after stroke, the Living After Stroke Web presentations will help you learn how to make kitchen, bathroom and total home modifications for safety and comfort, what transportation options are available and how to recover and adjust emotionally. Read more and access the Web presentations.
