ING New York City Marathon November 6, 2011
Support Our NYC Marathon Team
As a 2011 Charity Partner of the ING NYC Marathon, National Stroke Association is excited to support a team of runners who will trek 26.2 miles across the streets of NYC. This year’s marathon team includes five stroke survivors, healthcare professionals, caregivers and family members of stroke survivors. Stroke survivor Lenice, a mother of three, has completed two marathons since her last stroke in 2006. Larry, a physician for 31 years, will be running for his long-term patients and friends who have all suffered strokes. All runners have taken on two enormous challenges for stroke: to raise money for National Stroke Association and to run 26.2 miles through the streets of New York City.
Support us! There are many ways to support National Stroke Association's Endurance Team. We encourage you to read about the runners and watch their progress as they go through these next months of training and fundraising. Support them in their efforts—donate online or offer words of encouragement by writing in their guest books. You can also help us reach our team goal of $110,00 by November.
