Brainiac Kids - Stroke Smart Week

Stroke Smart Week

For one week children will start each day learning about stroke.  The topics will be:

Where Does Stroke Happen?
What Is Stroke?
What does Stroke Look Like?  F.A.S.T.
What are risk factors for stroke?
How do you prevent stroke?

Each day a student will be asked to provide a ‘stroke-tip’ that will be broadcast over the school intercom system.

Children will be encouraged to talk with their parents each day about the stroke topic.  At the end of the week, children will submit a paragraph, signed by a parent or guardian summarizing what they learned about stroke and who they discussed stroke with during the week.
