NATIONAL STROKE ASSOCIATION NEW YORK CITY MARATHON TEAM

Help Support Our NYC Marathon Team!
Two sisters, Jeanine and Christine, are running the NYC marathon to honor their father, a stroke survivor, and mother, a caregiver, who battled the repercussions of stroke on a daily basis. Kathleen, a stroke survivor, was inspired to run her first marathon after hearing about the opportunity to take on this ambitious challenge and educate women about stroke at the same time. Stere is a healthcare provider who works with stroke survivors everyday; he is running to raise awareness about the third leading cause of death. These amazing people and many others are why National Stroke Association is excited to host our very first NYC Marathon Team as a New York Road Runner’s Participating Charity Partner on November 1, 2009.
National Stroke Association's 2009 NYC marathon team includes stroke survivors, caregivers, family members of survivors, healthcare professionals and our very own staff member, Annalise de Zoete. Each runner has taken on two enormous challenges for stroke: to raise money for National Stroke Association and to run 26.2 miles through the streets of New York City!
Support our team and donate to their individual online fundraising webpages by clicking on the links below. We guarantee that you will be inspired by each runner's special stroke story and why they have chosen to run and raise money for stroke this year.
