NEW YORK CITY MARATHON TEAM
Help Support Our NYC Marathon Team!
As a 2010 Charity Partner of the NYC Marathon, National Stroke Association is excited to support a team of runners to trek 26.2 miles across the streets of NYC. We are pleased to report that our 2010 team spots are filled due to high demand and appreciate the commitment of these 25 individuals.
Join us! If you or someone you know has a secured spot via the lottery or qualified in some other way, you can still join our team and help spread awareness! Please visit www.stroke.org/nymarathon_join for more information. Several runners have joined our team in this category to support our cause and make this marathon even more worthwhile – and we have room for many more.
This year’s team includes 3 stroke survivors (2 of these individuals were on our 2009 team and have returned for 2010!), healthcare professionals, brothers, schoolmates, friends and families of people affected by stroke.
Support us! There are many ways to support National Stroke Association's Marathon Team. We encourage you to read about the runners and watch their progress as they go through these next months of training and fundraising. Support them in their efforts – donate online or offer words of encouragement by writing in their guest books.
