Recovery of stroke survivor

Blacktown resident Raj Singh, 38, is proof that a stroke can
affect even the relatively young and seemingly healthy.
Every year, about 53,000 Australians have a stroke - and not
only the aged are victims.
Strokes are the leading cause of disability and the third
most common cause of death in Australia.
Mr Singh was at a gym earlier this year when an artery in
his brain burst.
"I had just started to warm up for a boxing class when
I felt dizzy," Mr Singh said.
"I tried getting up, but I couldn't move my right leg
and arm.
"I couldn't even talk and I started struggling to
breathe."
Gym staff applied first aid and called for an ambulance.
