Pops F. ![]() Survivor My Series of Strokes4 years, 5 strokesI was a workaholic, 60+ hours a week, 6 days, for all my life. Smoked all my life until age 55, 50 years, then quit. HBP, no diet, 6', 235, loved meats and smoked meats. I had my first stroke in 2008 at a manager's meeting at corporate. Minor setback, out 2 weeks, full steam ahead. 2nd stroke 2010 in the middle of the night, arm went numb, went to stroke therapy for 5 weeks, just wanted to get back to work. 3rd stroke 2011 at my desk, almost died, had a near-death experience, I faced it and refused, came back. That ended my work career, too disabled mentally to return, on disability. Another stroke a month later after carotid surgery, common. Just had a 5th stroke December 2012, was taking nsaids daily along with anti-clotting, Dr. told me not to and I didn't listen. Cancelled the effects of anti-clotting and had a 5th. My bad, sodium naproxin for arthritis, stopped taking those now. Trying to lose weight, hard on all the meds, been to chiropractor who has gotten me moving again!!! Amazing, corrected 30+ years of problems! Now I can exercise! Strokes are debilitating and ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT YOUR STROKE! Do so by all means possible! |
