Survivor
At age 43 I thought I was too young to have a stroke, but a stroke can happen to anyone at any age.
I'm a US Army veteran who served 13 years. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure during my deployment in Desert Storm. In April 2004 I suffered a stroke, it was devastating and life changing for me. I am now 52 and on kidney dialysis 3 times a week and surviving by the grace of God. Watching what you eat is very important and if you smoke, stop. Take care of your body, you only get one.
