Survivor
Breaking silence on stroke
For the time I have been in rehabilitation, I tried to see what to do to spread awareness of stroke in Uganda and to break the belief that stroke is not as a result of witchcraft. Therefore my wife and I organised a walk to mark the World Stroke Day and also launched The Stroke Rehabilitation Centre and allowed two survivors speak to the public. This May we had an interview on stroke experience from a survivor, which will be published in a local news paper.
