Laurie P.  Healthcare Professional Laurie Paletz, RN, is the Stroke Program Coordinator at Cedars‐Sinai Medical Center, which is a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center and an American Heart Association (AHA) Gold Plus award winner. Laurie's passion and undying commitment to the program and to stroke patients and families/caregivers is evident in every aspect of the program. Laurie coordinates the program which sees an average of 85 stroke patients per month and is a multiple award winner for volunteerism, stroke patient advocacy and knowledge of stroke protocols. Laurie is the driving force behind this program and has successfully headed two Joint Commission surveys, including an initial certification and, most recently, a re-certification with no RFI comments. This is truly an accomplishment considering the magnitude of this program. Laurie is also the only west coast recipient of the AHA's award for outstanding achievements in support of their efforts in cardiovascular science, education and community programs. Laurie is the face of the stroke program at Cedars‐Sinai Medical Center. I hope that you would consider her to be the face of your campaign. |
