Caregiver & Family
Upon receiving notice of the search for the Faces of Stroke, I knew immediately whose name to submit, Rob H. He is the spouse of a stroke survivor, and he epitomizes the concept of creating a positive outcome from what could be perceived as a negative situation. He helped to spearhead the formation of a Stroke Survivor's Support Group and a Sharegivers peer support network in our local community. Rob is the individual quietly in the background making good things happen for others through his donation of time, creative talent, caring and at times ‐ financial support. A financial donation from he and his wife enabled a stroke survivor and her mom to attend a local stroke camp. His gifts of handcrafted wood items have delighted and touched the hearts of many volunteers and presenters. Rob is constantly attuned to the needs of the others and provides just what they need to make their day. He is a shining example of the Faces of Stroke and the power of one person to make a difference.
