Robert S., III

Caregiver & Family

Bob is my husband. Five years ago, I had a hemorrhagic stroke. Bob called me from work and got no answer, but he had a bad feeling. He came home and found me unconscious on the floor. He rushed me to Jefferson Hospital where the doctors told him I had a 2% chance of making it through the night, if I made it through surgery. He has been by my side through it all, good and bad. If not for his love and caring, I don't think I would be here doing as well as I am today. He and my family have been a great support system for me which is what survivors need! I would recommend my whole family if I could, but the things my sisters, brothers-in-law and nieces did for me would take up a book. Please consider my husband, Robert S. as one of your nominees. Thank you, sincerely, from a survivor who can't say, “Thank You” enough to everyone.
