Caregiver

My stepfather suffered two strokes two years ago and is unable to care for himself.

My mother has been the rock of the family, taking care of him and the rest of us. She is completely selfless. She takes absolutely no time for herself because she does not want my stepfather to be alone. Norm, my stepdad, was a functional part of our family. Doing the laundry, dishes and any other chores that needed to be done were his weekly tasks. That all ended very abruptly one morning. I can't even begin to tell you how hard this has been on our family, especially my mom. She is the bravest, most patient woman I know. I can't think of anyone better to be part of this.
