Survivor

My husband Bill is a 39-year-old stroke survivor. He had the stroke on July 14, 2010. Having survived the stroke was only half the battle. Each day is a struggle. Bill walks, but with a cane. He remembers, but only what happened years ago, not what happened yesterday. He wobbles and he falls, but he is still here. He gets confused sometimes, and he gets frustrated with himself, but he still laughs. He is a living testimony to the fact that stroke knows no age limits or no physical description. He is a survivor.
