Survivor
Hemorrhagic Stroke Survivor
Three years after my stroke recovering ever so slowly.
I was working in West Virginia when I awoke one morning and felt somewhat dizzy. I didn't realize it but I had just had a hemorrhagic stroke. I contacted my ex-wife who was in Alabama. She was an ex-nurse and recognized the symptoms. She immediately had me call for help.
She never told me or anyone who came to my aid that I had a stroke. She immediately demanded that I be taken to the hospital where my stroke was diagnosed. Her actions saved my life for which I am eternally thankful.
Unfortunately, the financial consequences were disastrous. I lost everything I had ever worked for. I'm still alive but forced to struggle financially. I do not forsee a pretty ending to this story.
