Survivor
There is Always Hope
My stroke was caused from an abscessed tooth
At 57 I was an active female with no worries, I woke up one morning feeling very strange, I couldn't pinpoint what was wrong, but I knew I needed to go to hospital. Long story short I called 911 and then the rest was a blurr. My family was called to come as I had a massive stroke which caused 2 bleeds in my brain. One hit my optic nerve, and I was told I would probably never be able to see again. I found out that the stroke caused endocarditis, which in turn caused the stroke. Its been 6 yrs now, my vision has returned. I can now walk again, and enjoying life. What helped me was keeping a positive attitude which I attribute to my faith. Its amazing how the body can heal itself, it may be a slow process but its worth it in the end.
