My Wonderful Brother Willie
He had a stroke at home and he blessed enough that a family member took him on to the emergency room and Praise God he survived.
My brother Willie, whom I think is an extraordinary man. He survived the Vietnam war and was able to come back home whole, no injuries (mental or physical) Thank God. I recall my mom being so happy that he returned home and not in a body bag. I was very happy because for some reason he was always my favorite brother.
But he also volunteered to go to where the fighting and stuff took place so that his younger brother would not have to go. I guess they had some type of rule that a family could not lose both (since they got drafted at the same time) but anyway, he has been a wonderful brother, father and husband. But just one day out of the blue he kind of passed out and was able to call his wife and she came and took him to the emergency room. He now has to watch his salt intake and other things that would make his blood pressure rise and I have to admit I don't think he really understands how blessed he is to still be here without any effects from the stroke.
But I am truly grateful to God that he is still here. I don't have a picture that I can post right this minute but if I can come back and attach his picture, I will do that. He is my hero!!!!
