Jeffrey Scott W.  Survivor It is crazy how fast your life can change in a matter of minutes. I was laying on the couch and started sneezing and that is how I had my stroke. My wife was there and noticed something was wrong. She called 911 and I was at the hospital in a matter of minutes. The doctors did a CT and said that I had a mild stroke. While I was laying there waiting for the MRI techs to get there, I had a major stroke. They put me in a drug induced coma. That left me in ICU for several weeks. I lost the use of my left side. When I came out of the coma, I had to relearn how to breathe and eat the every day things that were so easy for me before. After a while, I did get all of my mobility back on the left side. It will be two years this July that I had my stroke. I am just happy to be here to be able to tell my story. Thank you. |
