Rebecca F.

Survivor

I met Rebecca a year and a half ago. Our acquaintance began through her return to our church and praise choir after a long period of recovery from her stroke. I have watched Rebecca's delightful effort to regain her speech abilities and to reacclimate herself to everyday activity. She has done so very well through it all! With her loving husband's help, she has persevered to an amazing level of recovery. I am a paramedic, so I've had a professional, as well as personal, interest in Rebecca. Rebecca and Steve generously offered to present their experience to my Paramedic Continuing Education Class. They were so open and helpful to all of us! We learned so much and were affirmed in our caring for stroke patients. Rebecca gave us an intimate understanding of her struggle. Rebecca never gives up! She is so intent on continuing the fullness of her life beyond her stroke. She remains an inspirational contribution to her world and to my world! I am honored to nominate her!
