Life experiences: My take as a caretaker having Multiple Sclerosis and tending to a stroke survivors issues
My name is Adrian. I am a 54-year-old woman who has had MS for 10 years now and suddenly have been cast into the role of "caretaker" to my ex-husband who had an acute ischemic stroke and survived.
It is a life altering change for him, one I can relate to, empathize with and having to learn as I go on how to help him heal. Along with him having had hypertension for years, he also now has diabetes.
So I am here to seek some guidance, reassurance and tips for how to help him ease into his aphasia and keep him from getting depressed.
