Stan K. ![]() Survivor and Volunteer Stan is a remarkable fellow. He had a stroke when he was in his 30s. He was working and enjoying life. He has trouble with his vision, so he can't drive. He has some expressive aphasia, but still talks constantly until he gets his message out. Stan has been attending our Friendly Folks Stroke Club, for 15 years and makes everyone feel welcomed! He makes a delicious dessert for every meeting, takes people home if they don't have a ride, via his sister, and attends a stroke camp each summer. He volunteers for the Kentucky and Southern Indiana Stroke Association. He is the life of the party and has not let the stroke stop him. He would be a wonderful representative for the Faces of Stroke! |
