Evan G.  Survivor My son Evan suffered a massive stroke in 2004. He was not expected to survive, but with the help of committed family members, therapists, teachers, and doctors, Evan is ready to graduate from high school this May. His journey of survival has been a difficult one, but Evan has maintained such a positive attitude! He is an inspiration to all who know him. He continues to play golf and basketball (albeit one handed!) and never gives up on his dreams! He would like to pursue a degree in Recreational therapy so that he can work with children and guide survivors in their recovery process. He would also like to set a further goal of being a guidance counselor and work in school environment. He is a hopeful person with a big heart, and wants to continue to make a difference in the world! |
