Elizabeth M.  Survivor My wife suffered a stroke two years ago, and she nearly died. She was in ICU for days and by the grace of God survived. I can say that through the physical and emotional trauma that a stroke can cause, she never lost that thirst for life. I've had her in speech therapy and physical therapy for the past two years and she improves on a daily basis. She has aphasia but I have personally seen her brain compensate for the damage, and she still does more than two years after the stroke. She is a hero in all sense of the word. She is a walking example of what determination and God can do along with all her wonderful medical doctors help and support! I love her more each day! |
