Family & Caregiver
In January 2010, my wife and I moved back to Alabama from Phoenix with our three young children to help her mother take care of her father who suffered from several TIA strokes, that left him with Alzheimer's type memory loss along with several other problems. In August 2010, I personally had a stroke. Now my wife, who was already tasked with taking care of my father-in-law, as well as home schooling our children, now had to help take care of me. Her sense of resilience and positive attitude helped get me back to work in just three weeks. She is still up all night and working all day with her dad and our kids.
If there were a reward for complete selflessness, she and her mom would have to be world champs.
