Dawn had a stroke at age 41. She never once has felt sorry for herself. Instead, she embraced the new her and has become an advocate for stroke education and advocacy. She says 'yes' to every opportunity to promote the cause of stroke, including marathons across the country and speaking to groups or individuals. I am so proud of her strength and courage in the face of adversity. She is a true hero to me and all who know her.
