Cheryl Nelson RN, is a Stroke Coordinator. Cheryl is coordinating our efforts to become a primary Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission. Mrs. Nelson is a charter member of Tucson Stroke Coordinators, and is involved in the many community wide efforts to improve Stroke Care, including Stroke Check to be held in May 2011. Cheryl has been instrumental in opperating the BAT team (Brain Attack Team), our hospital Stroke response team at Northwest Medical Center.
