Elle R.  Elle Survivor Our daughter Elle survived a stroke at one day old. Had it not been for a random visit to the pediatrician on her third day, the symptoms could have gone unnoticed. She is now four and a half months and working weekly with physical therapists. My wife and I were blessed with the strongest little stroke survivor we know. She was born in April of 2011 and we have been proud parents ever since. Little Elle shows evidence of left side weakness and also left-field vision loss, but we can already tell she is determined to overcome any obstacles that may come her way. Thanks to our outstanding medical team and Early-Intervention we will continue physical therapy and hope that the resiliency of infants will help in the recovery. We are grateful to have such a happy baby, helping family and loving friends. |
