My daughter had a stroke three years ago at age 29. She didn't smoke, she exercised and she didn't drink--all the right things. Her daughter was four and her son was one when she had it. She has worked very hard through speech, occupational and physical therapy, and with the help of so many, she is on the road to recovery. Her daughter who is in the second grade now helps her re-learn to read. She participates in the Stride 4 Stroke in Houston each year, always walking farther than the year before. She is truly an inspiration to many.
